Vhi Health & Wellbeing was established by Vhi, Ireland’s No.1 private healthcare company; to develop medical, health and wellbeing services for Vhi customers. It currently provides a range of health and wellbeing services through its SwiftCare Clinics, Screening and Hospital@Home services.
 
We are currently recruiting a number of Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioners (RANP) for our new healthcare facility in Limerick.  We would welcome applicants interested in both Part-time and Full-time positions.
 
The successful applicants will be part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team that will include GPs, nurses and allied health professionals. Our new model of care is based on the principles of integrative medicine, where the patient and practitioner are partners in the healing process.
 
This is a unique opportunity for the newly appointed team to play an integral role in the development and deployment of a new model of care which will provide an environment that:

Postgraduate education and training programmes will be provided in Urgent Care, Integrative Medicine and Quality Improvement along with research opportunities.
 
 
The Role
 
The RANP will play a central role in providing nurse-led care in minor injuries and illness, in an evidence-based environment focused on quality and safety of care delivery. They will practice to a higher level of capability across the six domains of competence as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Advanced Practice (Nursing) Standards and Requirements (NMBI 2017).
 
The RANP will adopt a professional leadership role within the clinical governance structures influencing both clinical and non-clinical processes that impact upon the experience and/or outcomes for patients within the RANP nursing service.
 
Reporting will be professionally to the Director of Nursing, and clinically to the Clinical Lead in Limerick.
 
 
The Person
 
Must be passionate about delivering superior care in a holistic manner, dynamic and caring by nature, and motivated by the opportunity to deliver healthcare in a model of care that will be distinctive in Ireland.
 
Essential Requirements:
 
Must hold registration with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Register.
Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an acute care setting such as an emergency department or urgent care unit.
Possess a postgraduate qualification in emergency nursing (QQI Level 8 or equivalent).
Have demonstrated competence in managing a caseload of patients with non-life-threatening injury or illness.
Possess an interest in Integrative Medicine.
Flexibility to work across a 7 day roster.
Demonstrates alignment with Vhi Group values.
